Gareth Bale’s manager Jonathan Barnett ruled out the Welsh striker’s departure from Real Madrid. Amid speculation about the player’s future, the agent spoke on Monday and guaranteed his stay at the Santiago Bernabéu.
“He is happy at Real Madrid and has plans to stay two more years. Gareth does not try to survive Zinedine Zidane, he will stay. Zidane has many merits. There is no hatred, Zidane simply wants to play with him. Gareth trains every day and well”, Barnett said in an interview with the BBC.
Zidane only counted on Bale during the season, but the player lost space in the return of football, after the pandemic of COVID-19. An example of this is that the striker was not even summoned to the match against Leganés, for the closure of LaLiga. According to Zidane, it was a “technical decision”. Now it remains to be seen whether Zidane will return to Bale for Real Madrid’s next appointment on the 7th against Manchester City. Expectations are not very optimistic, although various sectors within the club see a minimal possibility of reconciliation between Zidane and the Wales player.
